Welcome to Fun for Dogs!
We look forward to providing you and your puppy or dog with the very best in training.
Please take some time to have a wander through our website and learn a bit more about what we can offer you and your dog...
See our SERVICES page for details on all that we have to offer.

We are passionate about dogs! We want you to enjoy your dogs as much as we enjoy ours.
Enjoyable and responsible pet ownership starts with training and we aim to give you the very best in training and other fun activities to set you up for a fun-filled life with your dog!
To ensure you and your dog get the quality training you are seeking, we keep our class numbers to a maximum of 10 dogs. This provides a more personalised training experience, while still giving your puppy or dog ample opportunity for socialisation.
Our fully qualified and State Government accredited trainers have in excess of 35 years experience in dog ownership, training, handling, care and breeding. You and your puppy or dog will benefit from our years of experience and continuing growth in our knowledge of dog training and dogs in general.

Our training philosophy is simple...
To provide you and your dog with the best training experience we can.
Our service philosophy is simple, too!
To provide you with the best experience in whichever service we are providing you and your dog.
Let us set you up on the road for a fun-filled life with your dog!

I always wanted to own a Bernese Mountain dog and was lucky enough to have Harley come into my life.
Harley and l joined the local Dog Obedience club and the rest, as they say, is history. Harley was my ‘heart’ dog and the very reason that l became a Dog Trainer.
I completed my Certificate III in Dog Behaviour and Training in August 2004 and have been working as an Instructor ever since.
Over the years, l have attended numerous workshops and seminars which have enhanced my experience and my passion for canine training. It has changed the way that I now train puppies and dogs of all ages. Learning has never stopped for me and I continue to share my new techniques.
My current memberships are: Dogs Victoria, The Association of Professional Dog Trainers, The Association of Pet Dog Trainers, Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Victoria and Australasian Society of Zoo Keeping
Really easy for me to answer - I love dogs and am passionate about teaching people how to enjoy a stress free life with their dogs.
Training your puppy/dog will assist in building a wonderful relationship and enhance your life together.
My current breed of choice is Bernese Mountain dog. Bentley is my third Bernese having previous owned Bella and Harley. Can honestly say that I am well and truly addicted to this wonderful breed.
I have always had dogs in my life and various breeds including Chihuahuas to Labradors to Bernese Mountain Dogs.
Business Partner and Senior Trainer at Fun for Dogs, Senior Trainer at Four Paws K9 Training.
My new passion is K9 Noseworks and have recently completed both courses in Introduction to Noseworks and Introduction to Odour with my boy Bentley. My aim is to be a K9 Noseworks Instructor in the not too distant future.

If you count our family dog we got when I was three, I have in excess of 50 years experience with dogs! I got my own dog about 20 years ago and he is responsible for me getting involved in the dog world.
I gained my Certificate III in Dog Training & Behaviour, and have experience in training dogs to an advanced level of obedience, in conformation showing and in breeding.
I am a member of Victorian Canine Association, Labrador Retriever Club of Victoria and Australasian Society of Zoo Keepers.
For me, it's all about the dogs! I am a dog trainer because I firmly believe that dogs with training are well mannered and more likely to be loved and cherished and the likelihood of them being surrendered or dumped is reduced.
Training leads to better dog/human relationships, which benefits everyone - people and canines alike.
Labradors and...well...Labradors! There are lots of breeds I like, but Labradors have my heart! If I had to have a smaller breed, it would be a Scottish Terrier.
As mentioned, we got our family dog when I was about 3 - a fox-red Labrador, named Cindy. Before that, there was my Grandmother's gold Cocker Spaniel - Goldie. The first dog I owned myself was a black male Lab - Chalon. I got Vixen, a yellow Lab to be mother to Chalon's babies, but nature had other plans and she couldn't get pregnant.
I currently have Liska, another yellow Lab and her and Chalon's son - Tanker, a black boy like his Dad.
